When we got her she had a pretty severe tick infestation... Once we shaved her we noticed some ring like marks we originally thought was ringworm, and her stomach was distended. We took her to the next day. It turns out she had a tick disease, thrombocytopenia, and her spleen was enlarged and bleeding. This poor girl was very sick! Scruffy man Bolt is an adorable little dude with a natural Mohawk! We think he is a Parsons Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross, he is about 4 years old. He is quite shy when you first meet him but he warms up quickly! He get a little overwhelmed if there are too many dogs in his face but he settles down. When his family surrendered him there was a little girl with them, he wagged his tail like crazy when she pet him so we are pretty sure he is good with kids. Angel is a 5 year old beagle mix. She is very fearful with people. You need to take it very slow with her. She was rescued from a situation where she had no human contact. She will not come to you and is semi-feral. If inside she will let you pet her. She is very sweet and wants to be loved but does not know how. she comes in and out a doggy door as she pleases. Bella is a absolute LOVER with people. Great with kids. Very submissive and just wants to be loved. Unfortunately she is an ex fighting dog so she needs to be an only dog. She is fine with other mellow submissive dogs but we don't take risks with it. She has gone through training and will get follow up training covered by the rescue. She just needs loving a home to retire in. As you see she is missing one eye but that does not stop her. Please give her love in her senior years...this girl deserves it. She is about 6-8 years old.
